Pedal powered fundraising – intrepid cyclists crunch the miles for charity

In September 2017, a number of EDA members are embarking on mammoth cycle rides in aid of some great causes and we hope you will support them.

Bordeaux to Paris Challenge

A team from Rexel UK will be cyling the 400 miles from Bordeaux to Paris over 4 days ending on Friday 15 September 2017.

Their aim is to raise £30,000 for Macmillan Cancer Support and the Electrical Industries Charity.

The intrepid cyclists include:

  • Chris Gibson, Corporate Sales Director
  • Peter Elliott, Purchasing Director
  • Harj Dosanjh, Area Manager, North East Midlands
  • Phil Wyatt, Regional Sales Director, North
  • Raff Liguori, Head of Pricing and Master Data

Plus 7 other riders from across their business.

Oswestry to Shannon Challenge

Neal Hooper, MD of Aico will join 41 other riders to cycle the impressive 247.47 miles from Oswestry to Shannon, Ireland.  The team, which includes cylists from Denmans Electrical, has chosen the British Heart Foundation as their cause.

The riders from team Aico include:

  • Daniel Little
  • Gary Mason
  • Duncan Orr
  • Matt Small
  • Andrew Sturgess
  • Dan Thomas
  • Michael Wright

They set off from Oswestry on Wednesday 13 September, arriving in Bunratty on Saturday 16 September.
