You can start your career in electrical wholesaling by applying directly to an electrical wholesaler to receive on-the-job training, or via an apprenticeship.
Entry-level apprenticeships are available in warehousing, general professional merchant training, administration, and customer service, to name but a few.
Progression can be swift in electrical wholesaling. A trainee can move to assistant within one-to-two years, and assistant manager in three-to-four. In five-to-10 years you could land a manager role, with regional manager possible in 10-15 and director after 15 or more years of experience in the industry.
Many electrical wholesalers choose to recruit new talent via apprenticeships.
Apprenticeships offer the opportunity to earn and learn through on-the-job experience and formal training.

Level 2 (GCSE) – trade counter and warehouse
Level 3 (A-level) – team leader.
