Kempston Controls was established in 1930 as a specialist distributor of American-manufactured electrical components. Over the years, the business has evolved to serve a much broader industrial audience and, through the careful choice of franchises, has become a specialist distributor of electrical and mechanical industrial control components and equipment.

Today, centrally located, Kempston Controls operates from a 1,850 m² site in Rushden, Northamptonshire, enabling us to support customers nationwide. With over £15 million of immediate stock, access to more than one million products online, and same-day and next-day delivery across mainland UK, we help customers respond quickly when uptime is at risk. Our distribution capability is further supported by a growing international presence, including operations in Ireland and the UAE.

 Always innovating, we also manufacture our own product ranges, including the MEM Classic range and Cutler-Hammer compatible products for the crane industry, alongside the supply of monitoring equipment and electronic sub-assemblies.

Our strategic vision is to continue gaining market share through innovative selling and marketing techniques, while embracing new technologies and strengthening our distribution capability. Backed by an enviable reputation for stock availability, we aim to deliver a dependable, responsive service at highly competitive prices.
