Understanding Data Protection and Data Security Level 2

Certificate in Understanding Data Protection and Data Security Level 2: a fully-funded 8-week course for English businesses (excluding the West Midlands)

This fully-funded course, which is free to join, is in response to an identified skills shortage by the Education and Skills Funding Agency.

You must be age 19 years of age or over, and live/work in England (excluding the West Midlands Combined Authority area).

The EDA is working in partnership with Babington Training to offer Members and Affiliates the opportunity to join this course covering:

  • Current data protection legislation, and how it applies
  • Organisational procedures concerning data
  • Possible threats to ICT systems and data, and how to protect against them
  • The consequences of not protecting data, and the impact of possible breaches
Course aim

For anybody working with data.  This course provides the basics to working safely and securely and in-line with data protection legislation.

This course offers an accredited qualification.

Study is via an online learning platform, BabingtonOnline .

All learning can be done at any time to fit around work and home life.
