EDA Qualify Using Their Own Vocational Training

October 22, 2013

As many of our members and affiliates will already be aware, here at the EDA we love to talk about the benefits of Learning and Development (see our gallery of the latest achievements).

Not only do we feel it’s a great offering for our members, as part of their existing membership, but also to wholesalers and manufacturers thinking of joining in the future. We strongly believe that if you are going to be passionate about something, be passionate about training!

For that reason we like to practice what we preach, and so over many months Barry Brown, National Sales Manager for Countrywide Electrical Distributors and Joanna Key, Training & Marketing Manager for the EDA itself – have both undertaken their Level 3 NVQ qualifications. Barry in Management and Joanna in Business Administration.

Their qualifications were delivered by Works Skills Ltd (formerly M2 Training) using the EDA’s Apprecticeship programme. As existing employees they were able to earn the qualification under the ’employed’ side of the EDA’s programme – click here to see the guide.

An ’employed’ qualification is still delivered by working with a qualified Work Skills assessor but draws on the existing skills and abilities of the individual.

If you would like to see how either of the EDA’s training programmes could help your staff and your business then get in touch with Joanna.
