First of all a big thank you from all at the EDA for attending our Annual Awards Dinner last week.
For those of you that came along you will know what a great night it was with the buzz of the industry filling the ballroom of The InterContinental Hotel, London. Follow this link for photos of the evening.
One of the main reasons we gather each year for this presitgious event on the industry calendar is to recognise training achievements amongst our membership, and this year was no exception.
The EDA were delighted to award nine membership groups for their commitment to the EDA training programmes.
In a change from the norm we were keen to award managers that have proven their commitment to training in both our Product Knowledge Programme and also for our Apprenticeship Training.
INVESTOR IN TRAINING AWARD WINNERS –
Thank you to all of the above for your commitment to training and for seeing the immense value gained for investing in your staff, and for joining us for a great evening. We hope to see you again at future events.
Following the awards Pauline Cooke, President of The Electrical Industries Charity introduced the annual raffle. The prize, donated by the EDA was an iPad AIr. The lucky winner was Mike Collins from Ansell Lighting – well done Mike. A massive well done to all our guests who managed to raise £5270 for this wonderful cause.
Another key point to our dinner was the announcement of our new President – Tom Jones. Tom took over the reigns following a two year Presidency by Simon Barkes of the BEMCO dynasty. We look forward to hearing from Tom in the future and seeing all his plans come to fruition.
Our guest speaker for this year was Tony Greig, CEO of Legrand. He was followed by Josh Daniels our entertainer for the eveing. Josh had the room roaring with laughter so we’re sure to have him back again.
Thank you again to all that came along and contributed to one of the best EDA dinners.
