Collingwood Lighting has become the latest leading brand to back the sector’s data pool – EDATA – by becoming its 17th manufacturer sponsor. Free wholesaler access to the data pool is made possible thanks to the support of the 27 manufacturer and wholesaler sponsors, combined with the 80+ manufacturer subscribers. EDATA is managed by the Electrical Distributors’ Association (EDA) with the data pool’s strategic development is “by the industry for the industry” and led by a Steering Group comprising sponsor representatives.

“Collingwood first subscribed to the data pool in July 2020 and has been working with the EDA team to ensure that wholesalers have access to the highest quality information about our products. Having achieved Gold standard for our product information – a quality benchmark which we are keen to maintain – the time is right to upgrade our support,” explained Andrew Fairhurst, UK Sales Director at Collingwood.

“As an EDATA sponsor, we are aware that it will raise the profile of Collingwood’s product information – and we welcome that – and we look forward to joining our fellow sponsors to shape the data pool’s direction of travel.”

EDATA is growing steadily with over 80 leading brands signed up to share their high quality product data with electrical wholesalers. Every EDA wholesaler has free access to the data pool where they can download data in bulk to drive websites, e-shops, ordering and invoicing, and ERP systems, and create individual data sheets on the fly.
