New Government plans to reform building safety following the Grenfell Tower tragedy signal a major overhaul of how construction products will be regulated, and they will impact the UK’s electrotechnical supply chain. The government’s Construction Products Reform Green Paper, now out for consultation until Wednesday 21 May 2025, includes proposals for legally binding responsibilities for wholesalers and distributors, as well as for manufacturers.
Paul Reeve, Special Advisor to the EDA, has reviewed the Green Paper and identified how the proposed changes could impact Wholesalers and Manufacturers in our sector.
