EUEW Convention a huge success
- see the highlights

The EUEW Convention’s return to British soil was met with great enthusiasm earlier this month, with industry colleagues attending from around the globe. This was the conventions first appearance on UK soil in eleven years.

Hosted by the EDA, the 56th convention was held in Edinburgh. Known as the premier event for the European electrical wholesale industry, the 56th EUEW Convention combined an informative business programme presented by leading industry experts and invaluable social opportunities.

Delegates were welcomed to the convention by Christof Bonn, the EUEW President for the 2009 - 2011 period who summarised the EUEW's key objectives for the coming year and detailed a reassuring growth in membership and support. Mr Bonn also performed his duty as outgoing President by handing over his office to the new President. Yvan Dejaeghere, who is also CEO of Technische Unie, Netherlands who will retain this office until the 58th EUEW Convention.

The topics covered in the 56th EUEW Convention highlighted opportunities that exist in the today's market, as well as provide an insight to the future of the industry. The stimulating business programme enabled delegates to explore ways of developing and improving the electrical distribution chain to the benefit of all participants and beneficiaries of efficient electrical wholesale distribution.
